Grandpa Tom's memorial service

September 10, 2001

In loving memory of Grandpa Thomas R. Winger, October 24, 1923 - September 5, 2001

Tonya's grandfather had a wonderful sense of humor, which is one of the most common things people fondly remember about him. He was also a talented mechanic and cook, and enjoyed teaching people how to do both activities. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was a loving grandpa to me. I still miss him.

The obituary and memorials are appended below. We scattered Grandpa's ashes in one of his alfalfa fields near Johnson, Kansas. During the trip to Kansas for the services on September 10, 2001, part of my immediate family also toured the Basement House near the family farm. I also took some pictures of farm kitties.
